The Dream Diet

Have you ever wondered what role sleep plays with diet? Some people think, mistakenly, that staying up late is a way to lose weight when it is actually the opposite-- your metabolic hormones are stimulated by sleep at the right time (before 10pm, usually)-- if you go to bed late, the hormone responsible for making you want to eat more to be satisfied (and a marker for insulin resistance) is stimulated. And snacking after your last meal (limit: 8pm) is absolutely verboten if you are trying to lose weight. Follow these two suggestions of no late-evening eating and going to bed before 10pm and you will be well on your way to losing weight while you sleep! Go here to watch a great explanatory video by Dr. John Spencer Ellis and his wife Kelli on Facebook. (*you will need to be registered on Facebook I think)
